As easy as it seems, buying home exercise machines that you don’t regret later takes a lot of thought and consideration. Here are the most important factors that really matter when purchasing:
Check out an amazing way to lose your fat here!
What Are Your Goals?
The goals you wish to accomplish and your current fitness level determine which type of workout equipment is right for you and how much money you need to spend for it. So before determining which treadmill, elliptical trainer or other piece of workout equipment is right for you, ask yourself, “What do I want to achieve?” Do you want to do resistance training? Do you wish to do cardio? Are you looking for an energy boost? These questions, when answered right away should help lead you in the right direction, whether or not you want to do cardio or resistance training, or both.

Determine How Much You Can Afford
The second thing you need to decide is how much you can afford to spend on a whatever piece of fitness machine you have determined is right for you. The costs of different types of workout machines vary widely. A nice treadmill costs from $1000 to $3500, and on the very low end, $600. An elliptical trainer varies from $200 to $5000. Stationary bikes range anywhere between $150 and $1500 at the high end. The old adage, “you get what you pay for” definitely still applies here so make sure that you strike a balance between affordability with usability and features.
Note: Just because you can charge a $1000 elliptical trainer or a $3000 treadmill does not mean that you can afford it. You don’t want excess debt as a stressful reason to overeat and annihilate your workout gains. Determine exactly how much you can realistically afford to spend on the workout equipment before you go to the store and become mesmerized by shiny new machines.
Determine the Total Cost
Transportation, installation, shipping and other extra charges can really add up. Before purchasing anything, make sure that determine all of these charges in advance so that you won’t blow your budget at the last minute.
Space
Aside from your goals and budget, the two other equally important things to remember when buying workout equipment are: to test the machine and measure the size of the equipment and the area that you are placing the equipment in. While the former is somewhat automatic, the latter is often overlooked, because when you are at the store, it is hard to decide if the machine will really fit into your available space. Determine how much space is necessary for your equipment.
If you have an entire room available to convert to a home gym, it makes sense to purchase a separate piece of full body cardio equipment and a separate machine for complete body resistance training. f you only have a small corner of your living room, then you must determine which fitness goal is more important to you.
Comparison Shop
Wise buyers don’t settle on just a single store. Go to at least two places to compare prices of the same equipment. It also pays to do online ahead of time so that you are armed with the correct information about the particular machine you are looking at. Read product reviews whenever they are available, doing a Google search for ‘treadmill reviews’ yields tons of results.
Do Not Be Fooled
Many salespeople with do anything to make a sale. So if you see TV ads promising that you can lose 15 pounds, get ripped and be a whole new you in only two minutes a day, don’t fall for it. Yes, the claims sound too good to be true because they are. Quick-fix products with “before” and “after” testimonials may be interesting but remember this: bodies do not change drastically after small a number of sessions. If they did, everyone who wanted to lose weight or have six-pack abs would already have them by now. Click here to learn how to lose weight fast
