Everyone has wondered at some point in time which cardio exercise is better. To put it in simple terms, both low and high intensity exercises will help you to burn off body fat. The matter at hand is what the most efficient way to burn off the most body fat is.

Even after your workout, high intensity cardio exercise will speed your metabolism, making you burn more fat throughout the day. What this means, is that your body will continue to burn body fat hours after you have left the gym. This hardly ever happens during low intensity workouts.

You can burn more calories while completing a high intensity cardio exercise than you would if you were completing a low intensity cardio exercise.
If you use a method called interval training you can use some high intensity movements into your cardio workout. You can walk for 5 minutes or so, then break into some jogging for another 5 minutes or so. To start with walk briskly until you have caught up with your bredth and then again sprint for a minute and start again. From this point, simply alternate your running and walking for the next 15 minutes until you are finished.
Cardio exercise has the reward that doing it more actually increases your energy. Cardio will help you to burn calories, although its more useful for keeping your energy levels high.
Cardio is worth a try even for beginners. Those who enjoy exercising will realize that cardio is the optimal method of increasing your energy levels and staying in good condition. If you are just starting out, you’ll want to go slow and keep your cardio exercise in track – as it is very easy to over exert yourself.
