Will Vinegar Treat Toenail Fungus?
Toenail fungus infection is one of the most common ailments affecting people around the globe. Toenails in particular are susceptible to fungal infection because the fungus is more likely to grow in damp and dark environments. Vinegar is repeatedly praised in the homeopathic community for its use as a home remedy for toenail fungus.
Vinegar, which contains natural properties capable of hindering and curing toenail fungus, has been lauded as a natural remedy for the fungus by those suffering from it in place of harsh chemicals and synthetic medicines.
It doesn’t matter what type of vinegar is used to treat toenail fungus. Apple cider or white vinegar can help eradicate fungal infections from fingernails or toenails. Perhaps appropriately, this is both the cheapest remedy available as well as among the most effective.
You don’t need any special training to use vinegar to treat toenail fungus. Combine water and vinegar in equal parts to create one solution. You should soak your feet in this solution at least once daily for 30 minutes, as well as alternate between cold and hot baths. Finally, three baths evenly spaced throughout the day are recommended as well.
Cuticles and tissues can become easily irritated by effects of the toenail fungus, since the fungus causes a pH imbalance that causes the skin to become more alkaline. Toenail fungus should be treated immediately since the infection can manifest as both itchiness in and pain of the affected area.
The acidic properties of vinegar restore the pH balance of the skin, which allows the integumentary system to relieve the itchiness associated with the infection. There are various types of vinegar (such as apple cider vinegar, malt vinegar, fruit vinegar, rice vinegar, balsamic vinegar, coconut vinegar, cane vinegar, and a lot more) available today. It is inexpensive and can be bought at any local supermarket or grocery store.
The inflammation and pain that fungal infections cause have been shown to be reduced by the application of apple cider vinegar. Additionally, you can kill bacteria and viruses by using hydrogen peroxide with the vinegar solution. An alternative to soaking your feet into a bath is to directly apply the vinegar on the base of the toenail at least twice a day. Just make sure that the vinegar will stay in place long enough to get the desired action from it. Two drops of vinegar is enough to do the job.
Vinegar is a legitimate and effective way to treat toenail fungus. The next time you get infected, look to your kitchen cupboard first for this simple but efficient solution for your fungal problem.
