The End Of Arthritis May Be Through Parasitic Worms, Study Suggests

Who may have thought that gruesome worms might just be the solution to end arthritis, research shows.Researchers from the University of Glasgow and Strathclyde learned that the substances that are discharged from these worms do contain something that somehow stopped the inflammation, consequently contributing to a healthier condition, and in a way disrupting the development of arthritis in animal subjects.

Parasitic worm infestation is quite a problem in tropical countries; however, the morbidity rate is low in cases such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis in these areas, leading researchers to question it. The answer might be the ES-62.  These are actually the particles moving inside the bodies of those worm-infested individuals.

In line with this, the birth of man-made ES-62 is in the process as this might be the answer to all arthritic woes.

There are no known side effects of ES-62 and those who have it in their system can still fight other infections as well. Results of other researches are connecting ES-62 to treat conditions which include colitis, asthma, type-1 diabetes, and allergies.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease which is the second most common type of arthritis. It affects nearly 1.3 million people in the United States based on the report by the Arthritis Foundation. According to the Arthritis Foundation, almost 1.3 million Americans are afflicted with this.

The common symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are inflamed and tender joints in the small joints of the fingers, legs or wrists, hard to heal injuries, eye problems, morning stiffness, insensitivity in the hands or fingers, locked joints, and others.

When joints are edematous, throbbing pain is felt.Mild cases of this may be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, pain relievers to ease the pain, and in severe cases, surgery is needed.

Many succumbed to surgery to end their pain. Sadly, instead of relief another set of complications developed. The metal-on-metal hip devices caused severe pain, implant loosening, distension, and metallosis.More than a few orthopedic companies pulled out their products in the market such as the Stryker hip replacement recall. You can read more about these hip replacement problems here, stryker-hip-replacement-recall.com

The study is headed by William Harnett, professor of molecular immunology at the University of Strathclyde and he explained “We will be focusing on mechanisms of combating hyper-inflammation that have developed naturally and with apparent acceptance by humans during their co-evolution with parasites.”

Novel experiments resembling to this are surely welcome in the world of orthopedic medicine to finally heal arthritis. Though there are medications for it, then again it is just designed for temporary relief. Many are in pain and longing for the day their suffering will end.
